Media5fone on your mobile or tablet

To configure the Media5fone softphone, we recommend that you follow the steps below and have your Hivoox account information at hand.

FIRST PART

1- Open the Media5fone and on the keyboard, click on MORE on the right to enter the menu.
2- Press on SETTINGS
3- SIP ACCOUNT CONFIGURATION
4- In TITLE put the user sip: 8XXXXXXXXXX
5- In USER OR NAME put the user sip: 8XXXXXXXXXX
6- In PASSWORD: enter the SIP password
7- Next go to SERVERS and put “sip.hivoox.com” in address.
8- Click on FINISH to return to the main page.

Note: If the account has been correctly registered, a welcome message will appear asking you to buy the application. Click on close to see the keyboard.

On the keyboard, the call button will be green.

SECOND PART

1- Once the registered account, press MORE on the right to enter the menu.
2- Press on SETTINGS
3- SIP ACCOUNT CONFIGURATION
3- Click on the SIP account number (8XXXXXXXXXX)
4- Go to ADVANCED / MEDIA / CODEC OPTIONS.
If you do not have Media Options, look for CODEC.

5- Choose WIFI CODEC and activate the codecs in the following order:

-G711 ulaw
-G711 alaw
-G729

Only these three codecs must be active.
Disable all other Codecs.

6- Return to the previous screen and do the same with the 3G Codec.

-G729
-G711 ulaw
-G711 alaw

Note: If the program does not allow you to activate the G729 Codec, it is because you have not purchased it. In this case, only the following can be used:

-G711 ulaw
-G711 alaw

Keep in mind that in order to have good quality phone calls over 3G, we recommend the G729 codec. The Code G729 payment is unique and it can be used in all mobile phones where you have the same Google play account.

Your Hivoox line is already configured to work on your mobile or tablet.
